2026 1L Diversity Clerkship Employer StatementWorkers' Compensation defense.
Our summer law clerks are immersed in several litigation teams, and work with our paralegals and attorneys on file management, discovery processes, deposition summaries, medical summaries, motion practice, as well as the ability to attend depositions, mediations, court appearances, so as to get a feel for what our attorneys do once licensed. Our summer clerks can have the chance to stay into the school year, and we primarily hire our associate attorneys from our law clerk pool.
Brown & Carlson sponsors several community outreach opportunities each year so our employees can give back to the community we serve.
We have a DEI committee in place that anyone in the office is free to join. This is our DEI mission statement: At Brown & Carlson, P.A., we believe that the strength of our firm lies in the diversity of our people, the equity of our practices, and the inclusion of every individual. We are committed to fostering a workplace where all employees, clients, and communities feel respected, valued, and empowered to succeed. We recognize that our differences bring a richness of perspectives and experiences that are essential to our ability to serve our clients effectively and make meaningful contributions to the legal profession and society at large. We strive to create an environment where every individual has equal access to opportunities for growth, advancement, and success within our firm. This means actively identifying and addressing barriers to inclusion and ensuring that our policies and practices are fair, transparent, and free from bias. We are committed to fostering a culture where every voice is heard, every perspective is valued, and every person feels empowered to bring their whole selves to work. By embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion as core values and guiding principles, we believe that we can build a stronger, more resilient, and more successful firm.
