Andrew Mohring recognized with Lifetime Achievement award

Andrew Mohring has been named the recipient of this year’s Minnesota State Bar Association Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes an experienced attorney whose career reflects exceptional commitment to the legal profession, the public, and the Bar. Mohring served as a federal public defender for nearly 30 years and is widely respected for his integrity, legal skills, and consistent efforts to support and uplift other attorneys.

Mohring has also been a mentor to countless attorneys and a quiet leader in the recovery community, where he has helped many attorneys navigate addiction to return to effective, ethical practice. “Andrew Mohring saves lives,” wrote his nominator. “Not just in the legal sense, but in the most human one.” Known for treating everyone with dignity and respect, Mohring has shaped the character of the legal community over nearly four decades of service.
