Antitrust law governs aspects of commercial and retail relationships and transactions that all businesses, and attorneys representing businesses and consumers, need to have an awareness of. Over the past four years, government enforcement has increased dramatically, and new types of antitrust challenges have been brought.
Seven MSBA member attorneys who focus their practices on Antitrust issues will present this program, focusing on 4 primary areas:
• Horizontal Restraints under Section 1 of the Sherman Act;
• Vertical restraints under Section of the Sherman Act;
• Monopolization under Section 2 of the Sherman Act; and
• Mergers under Section 7 of the Clayton Act.
The program will be geared both to presenting a basic framework of the Antitrust laws to attorneys with limited antitrust experience, as well as providing a refresher for more experienced antitrust practitioners. The presenters are:
