Reflecting on George Floyd's Murder and the Minneapolis Uprising, Five Years Later
Attend the 2025 Race & Equity Series- Up to 3 Elimination of Bias Credits!
This series of three CLEs recognizes the 5th anniversary of George Floyd's murder in May of 2020, its impact on the legal system and legal professionals in the twin cities, and efforts made across private and public sectors to rebuild trust, access, support, and reduction of bias to the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) community.
Attend one, two, or all three of these sessions. Each session course will count for one elimination of bias credit.
Session 3 - Impact of George Floyd’s Death on Black Attorneys: How Far Have We Come?
The last session of the Race Equity series addresses both challenges and progress Black attorneys have faced since George Floyd's murder and how the local legal community and affinity bar associations like Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers (MABL) support and continue to support the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) communities, despite growing hesitancy around diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.
