Let's kick-off the 2025-26 bar term! Join us remotely:
In today’s legal climate, clients are increasingly seeking non-adversarial, values-driven ways to resolve family conflicts. Collaborative Law provides a structured, team-based alternative that goes beyond “being nice” or cooperative. It is a comprehensive dispute resolution process rooted in interest-based negotiation, specifically designed to transform family dynamics without resorting to litigation. While maintaining legal advocacy, Collaborative Law redirects the focus away from court-driven timelines toward addressing the deeper needs of all family members.
This session introduces attorneys of all experience levels to Collaborative Law as a distinct model of practice—particularly relevant for solo and small firm practitioners looking to expand their toolkit in client-centered ways. It also addresses common points of hesitation or resistance many attorneys express toward formal Collaborative Law.
