A Conversation about the Solo/Small Law Firm Experience!
Join us in person OR remotely - hybrid option:
Solo and small firm practice offers lawyers independence, flexibility, and the opportunity to do meaningful work. It also requires innovation, adaptability, and business awareness. This program brings together experienced solo and small firm practitioners for an honest conversation about what it actually looks like to build and sustain a practice outside of large institutional settings. Panelists will discuss different pathways into solo and small firm practice, including launching a practice right out of law school and transitioning after time in other practice environments.
This discussion is designed for law students and new lawyers and will explore the realities of running a small practice: developing clients, managing the business side of a firm, structuring a practice that fits individual goals, and balancing professional responsibilities with the rest of life. It will include a moderated panel discussion followed by audience Q&A and a brief reception and networking to follow.
