ABLE accounts can be a valuable planning tool for individuals with disabilities, allowing them to save money while preserving eligibility for asset-based public benefits. When appropriate, they may also provide a less restrictive alternative to conservatorship. Join us to learn more about ABLE accounts and the key considerations for determining whether they may be a useful option for your clients.
The presentation will focus on practical considerations for evaluating whether an ABLE account is a good fit for your client, advising clients on appropriate administration of ABLE accounts, and discussing the unique interaction between ABLE accounts and guardianship powers under Minnesota law.
