Summary

This CLE examines Minnesota’s new statutory tool addressing financial exploitation of vulnerable adults, with insight from both practitioners and the bench. Attendees will review Minn. Stat. § 609.2334, which authorizes injunctive relief in these cases, and explore the legal framework, procedural requirements, and practical considerations for seeking such orders. The session will also discuss how this remedy fits within existing protective measures and its implications for attorneys practicing in elder law, probate, and civil litigation. Participants will leave with a clear understanding of this emerging area and its potential to strengthen protections for vulnerable adults.
