Summary

It is estimated that 3-10% of the general population has Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Studies have shown that people with ADHD are more likely to experience financial distress, often having higher default rates and poorer credit scores, which increases the likelihood that they file for bankruptcy. While consumer bankruptcy practitioners should be aware of techniques to support clients with ADHD, this CLE is applicable to all practitioners—including those in other practice areas—and will also broadly discuss ADHD diagnoses in the legal community and why it is a wellness issue for attorneys.
