Summary

This program will help identify how implicit bias stands in the way of lawyers seeking the help they need for mental health (including substance use) and stress issues. It will offer a general understanding of implicit bias and how and how there is a double bind for those already in underrepresented groups who may be more reluctant to ask for help because of other actual or perceived implicit or explicit biases. This program will address challenges to seeking help for mental health issues, the relationship between mental health issues and diversity and inclusion, as well as current challenges and strategies to address them.
