Summary

In this CLE, Alicia Granse will share about the ACLU-MN’s amicus advocacy in the recent CTB case, A23-0459, decided by the Minnesota Supreme Court. ACLU-MN Staff Attorney Granse will discuss how the ACLU-MN became involved in the case, the court decisions at each level, and the reasoning in the ultimate reversal decision. The conversation will contextualize the arguments made, particularly in light of the ACLU-MN’s amicus brief, and center the experiences of Black youth in police interactions.
