The HCBA has selected seven members to receive 2024 Excellence Awards. Nominated by their peers, these attorneys stood out for their contributions to the HCBA and the legal profession. Join us in congratulating Thomas Boyd, Debra Bulluck, Yemaya Hanna, Christopher Jison, Jennifer Johnson, and Natasha Robinson. Kathleen Murphy was also recognized with an award posthumously.

The Hennepin County and Minnesota State Bar Associations are celebrating Pro Bono Week, a national effort in conjunction with the ABA. This celebration honors the work of Minnesota lawyers who provide pro bono representation throughout the year, and highlights opportunities for pro bono service. Governor Tim Walz has announced the appointment of Emily Froehle as a district court judge in the Fourth Judicial District. Froehle will replace the Honorable Kristin A. Seigesmund and will be chambered in Minneapolis in Hennepin County.
