Connections in the Community: National Law Day of Action and HCBF Bar Benefit

Thanks to everyone who joined us for a great day of taking action with the Hennepin County Bar Association and Foundation! We started with a rally for the National Law Day of Action, where members came together to support the rule of law and hear from HCBA president m boulette, MSBA president Samuel Edmunds, and retired Supreme Court Justice Margaret Chutich. Later, we kept the energy going at the Bar Benefit—an evening of music, games, and fun, all in support of access to justice. We appreciate your support. Race + Equity CLE Series: Session 2 — George Floyd's Death: Five Years of Rebuilding Trust and Access in the Justice System

Monday, May 12, 2025, 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.

This second session of the series brings together leaders doing vital diversity, equity, and inclusion work in corporations and firms, in jury and judicial selections, and in the courtroom. Panelists Summra Shariff, Gloria Stamps-Smith, and Adam Miller are working to increase access to justice and increase public participation in the justice system. They will share reflections on progress in community trust in a just legal system in the last 5 years, especially in Minneapolis and Hennepin County.

This CLE is 1.0 Elimination of Bias credit and is FREE for HCBA and RCBA members.

2025 Law Day Dinner in support of Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid

The Hennepin County Bar Association is proud to co-sponsor the 44th Annual Law Day Dinner supporting Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid. The evening features a reception, dinner, live auction, and a program with keynote speaker Laura Coates and honoree Jeff Eckland.
