Join us for a CLE on the role and function of Minnesota’s District Ethics Committees (DECs). This program will provide an overview of the ethics complaint process, the responsibilities of the DECs, and their relationship with the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility (OLPR) and the Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board (LPRB).

This CLE is FREE for HCBA members.

Thursday, July 23, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Minnesota State Capitol

Summer associates are invited to a unique program hosted in partnership with the Minnesota Supreme and Appellate Courts, offering an inside look at appellate practice and the work of Minnesota’s judiciary. Held in the Minnesota Supreme Court Chamber at the State Capitol, the event will feature remarks from judicial leaders, insights into appellate advocacy and judicial clerkships, and an opportunity for Q&A. Attendees can also network during a coffee-and-cookie social and participate in an optional Capitol tour following the program.

The HCBA co-hosted a non-partisan candidate forum for the Hennepin County Attorney race with the League of Women Voters in June in Golden Valley. If you would like to learn more about the attorneys on the August 11 ballot, you can watch the recording of the event.
