A law office copes with the sudden passing of a much-loved colleague
Chris White didn’t come to work on August 29, 2024. His absence wasn’t noted at our weekly meeting, but that was because it wasn’t unusual for someone to wander into the 8:15 meeting late, or skip it entirely in the event of an early morning hearing. We realized he was missing at 9:30, when one of the office’s attorneys reached out to the rest of the criminal attorney team. Chris had not appeared for a scheduled hearing.
