Excited about law and competition?

Join a Mock Trial team, made up of 8-14 students, and dive into a real case! Case materials go live in late October, followed by an online training session for teams and coaches. This session offers helpful prep tips and case-specific insights, plus you'll get access to a video and materials anytime. We also offer a Q&A for new coaches in November and Timekeeper Training in December.

What's the schedule?

From late October to early January, teams prepare for their first competition. Some schools even host practice tournaments (totally optional but great for extra prep!). Each team competes in four trials. After that, the top teams move to single elimination rounds, hoping to become Regional Champs and earn a spot at the State Tournament. The state winner represents Minnesota at Nationals in May 2025!

How do I join?

Once your school is on board, the next step is recruiting committed students. Mock Trial is all about teamwork, sharp thinking, quick reasoning, and public speaking. Every member is key to the team's success!
