The specialty field of Labor and Employment Law is the practice of law dealing with relationships among employers, employees, and labor organizations, except workers’ compensation. It includes all aspects of labor relations and employment law, both public and private, employment-related statutes, employment-related torts and contracts, and employment discrimination. This definition includes all forms of labor and employment litigation, advice, counseling, negotiations, arbitration, mediation, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution before all tribunals.

FORMAT
This exam will be offered remotely, using your own computer and remote exam proctoring software. An in-person option is available to those interested.
EXAM CONTENT
This exam consists of three questions. You are expected to answer any two of the three questions. Two of the questions are general employment law questions. One question is a labor law question which may be answered with reference to either federal law (private sector) or state law (public sector). Questions may be answered from either an employer or employee/union perspective.
EXAM REFERENCE MATERIALS
This is a closed book examination. You may not bring with you or consult any outside materials, outlines or notes.
